Sure You Can! Believe In Yourself
You Learned To Encourage Yourself

"Remember, today is the best day of your life because yesterday was and tomorrow may only be."
--- Marlene Blaszczyk
Let's take a stroll down memory lane... what lesson was waiting to be learned?
Remember when you were a little child learning how to walk? Maybe not clearly, but it probably went something like this:
First, you had to learn to stand. That meant falling down over and over, then getting back up again. Sometimes you laughed. Sometimes you cried. Yet something inside you kept saying, "Try again." Somehow, you knew you would succeed no matter what.
After enough practice, you finally figured out balance. A critical step. You felt a new sense of power --- you could stand anywhere: in your crib, by the couch, even on someone's lap. Joy filled those moments. You were in control of you.
Then came walking. Harder than it looked. More frustrating than you expected. Yet you kept trying. Some attempts earned applause --- "Oh my God, look at them go!" --- and that encouragement lifted your confidence. But most attempts happened when no one was watching. No cheering. No applause. You kept moving forward anyway. You learned how to encourage yourself.
If only we remembered this about ourselves today.
Look back and find that child you once were. Notice their courage. Notice their persistence. Thank them for never giving up, even when it was uncomfortable or scary. That child trusted themselves enough to keep trying. You believed in yourself then. Believe in yourself now.
Remember all your accomplishments - large and small. Focus on the things you once thought you could never do, and recognize that you did them. You always have it in you.
Have a wonderful day - go and make a difference!
