We Choose The Kind Of World We Live In

inspirational quote by Leo Buscaglia and a man climbing a rock wall

"When you get to the end of your rope, tie a knot, hang on and swing!"
--- Dr. Leo Buscaglia

Over the years, I keep going back to one of my favorite books - Living, Loving & Learning by Dr. Leo F. Buscaglia. It's a collection of lectures he gave between 1970 and 1981, filled with timeless wisdom. Even though he's no longer with us, his words still feel alive and just as meaningful today as they did then - maybe even more so.

"An investment in life is an investment in change... When you are changing all the time, you've got to continue to keep adjusting to change, which means you are going to be constantly facing new obstacles. That's the joy of living. And once you are involved in the process of becoming, there is no stopping. You're doomed! You're gone! But what a fantastic journey." --- Dr. Leo Buscaglia

What if we all lived with a little more wonder? What if we welcomed change like a friend instead of fighting it? If we let ourselves keep learning, and keep loving through it all... maybe the world wouldn't seem so heavy.

So here's a simple challenge: be the best version of yourself today. Show more love. Welcome change with open arms. Be curious. Learn more - about yourself, and the people you care about.

And when your day winds down, let it be said that you gave it everything you had - not perfectly, but honestly. Let it be said that you're growing, you're improving, and you're becoming the person you've always wanted to be.

Now's the time. Don't wait.

Be the kind, caring soul you already are. And don't be afraid to show your tenderness - the world needs more of that right now.
