"There will come a time in your life when you think that you love somebody...but then realize that they do not love YOU. This is when you realize that you can only truly love a person that loves and respects you back. Once you have endured this pain you will know that you do not 'need' anybody but yourself."

"Don't promise me forever. I know that fantasy won't come true. Promise me for now, because that is all either of us can do. And if now becomes tomorrow, and tomorrow becomes years, you won't have broken your promise. Promise me for now. I hope with all my heart that now will last forever - but it not - you still haven't lost my trust."

I have found that "now" is all that anyone can promise because you never know what will happen. In my experience, a promise is great, and promising for now is the best promise to make because it can't be broken. With all luck, "now" will become "forever" for you. Just be careful of your promises because a promise is the most valuable thing there is and you should cherish them!
"Just let it go..."

"When you die, nothing matters but the dash. On your tombstone, it says 1933-2025, or something like that. The only thing that matters is that dash. That dash is your life. How you live is your life and were you happy with the way you lived with it."

Think about this everyday.
Many people never go past start
Other people pass it many times
Many people never open their eyes
Other people never close them
Many sit it out instead of dancing
Others dance like no one is watching
Many people follow the world
Other people lead it
Many people look through a crack
Other people walk through a door
Many people watch
Other people LIVE
Never let yourself fall, fly.

"You can't be afraid to fail; if you are, you will be afraid to try."
Written in 2002 by K.S., Age 14 --- Louisiana
I learned this from a book I read by Derek Jeter "The Life you Imagine"
"One thing I've learned from movies is that there's the perfect guy waiting for you. One thing I've learned from reality is that there is no perfect guy, but a lot more love than you can imagine hidden behind the imperfections, and you shouldn't miss out on that."

This is a quote that made me realize that I couldn't always have the perfect guy I've seen on TV. I couldn't keep dumping guys after 2 weeks just because of imperfections. I hope this helps everyone realize that they should give every guy/girl a chance and don't keep waiting for the guy you think is out there....because he may be right in front of you.

"Circumstances in life arise sometimes without warning, then we realize things we could have done better, live your life with no regrets, so when those circumstances do arise you will have no worries."

Teenagers are amazing,
I wish the world would see,
Just how beautiful we are,
How compassionate we can be.
I wish they could take back,
All the cynical things they've said,
And see how much we shine,
Be positive instead.
Remark on our radiant smiles,
And the differences we make,
All of the people our lives touch,
All of the chances that we take.
Notice how we change,
Each and every day,
Wanting to leave childhood,
Yet desperately trying to stay.
I wish they could remember,
How tough our lives can be,
The promises that are broken,
The violence that we see.
Yet we still venture onward,
Unsure of where the road may lead,
Hoping they will take notice,
Hoping they'll take heed,
Of the changes that we've made,
Of the power that we hold,
Of the wisdom we have hidden,
Of the stories yet untold.
I hope the world will notice,
What some have already seen,
Teenagers are amazing people,
Striving to follow their dreams.
