TALKING TO MYSELF
July 29, 2002
I am a regular visitor to your site. It has helped me a lot in tough times.
Thanks a lot to the motivating team! This is a piece of my diary entry. Though it reflects a conflict of my mind, it can help people facing similar situations.
Finally the news, for which you waited for more than a year. Let me try to answer the first question that came to your mind. "This offer is looking so grand as compared to your present status, do you really deserve it?"
Answer is certainly, "Yes, my dear."
This time I'm sure of it. You deserve it, not just because you waited for it for so long, BUT because:
You had faith in it to happen
You faced the tough-time, boldly (forget minor breakdowns)
You carried your attitude
You preserved your values
You laughed when it was difficult to smile
You helped others when you required it most
You did not waste time, you learnt a lot instead
Keep going, extracting the best out of the situation.
Keeping your cool smile, when you are broken from inside, is strength.
Don't feel depressed or frustrated if you aren't able to perform that well, also consider the circumstances. If your ship wrecks, you are supposed to stick to the log of wood & keep drifting till you find another ship! While on log, you are not expected to sail as fast as before.
Before motivating anybody else, try to put yourself in his/her situation & motivate yourself. Self-motivation is very important and equally challenging.
Experiment a lot. Play with lot of things scattered around you.
To learn something, it is not necessary to start it from scratch.
Everything is relative, perceptive. Show the world what they want to see, what they expect from you, for sometimes the view becomes much more relevant than the actual thing. Succeed in this world playing their kind of game, using their rules OR just don't play!
Nothing is permanent. Bad times look unending. Make sure you are there to see them changing.
Don't think or plan too much in advance, just do it at the time of action with 100 % concentration. Don't think too much after doing things. Learn & go ahead .We are made to make mistakes. That is how we improve till the last minute of your life.
Try to use your heart more than your mind (or at least that much).
Don't think too much about what all (if any) did you learn or are learning from some event or period. Just relax; your mind & heart will implement all changes.
You are there to see this change; a big event in your life. You are successful!
