"THOUGHTS OF THE DAY"

"My mind is constantly moving like a train and not skipping a beat like a heart."

"When it comes to searching for our 'self', the process causes great stress but it's the progress that feels the best!"
Written in 2010 by Ethen Carrell --- California
If you put yourself in it, you could take yourself through it. I truly believe this because I have experienced it first hand.

"No matter what your problems are, you are and have the first solution and the best solution. Keep trying and you will surely get it."

"Don't look down on yourself or underrate yourself because the world says you are not important. My friend, you are different; that's why you are important and useful. Don't let the world oppress you - take charge!"

Be yourself, no matter what, because if you want to be like someone else, you will end up being nobody.

"Real beauty is found in one's self. That's the tranquil beach, the beautiful sunset. It's not a location; the location is you. To travel is to travel inward. That's the ultimate vacation."
Written in 2006 by Miles Patrick Yohnke --- Canada
I wrote this quote in my mind in the summer of 2006 from that beach. Many ideas take place, visiting myself there.

"Life is to lived; dreams are to be achieved."
Written in 2007 by Manzoy Sitang --- India
I have seen many of my friends depressed for their own various reasons and to console them, I say this.

"I feel like my wings are finally coming back. They were broken, and there was a point where I thought I was confined to this earth. But I feel like they're back now. And I'm excited to fly again. And sure, there are going to be bad and tough times. I can easily see them now but that's not a reason to stay on the ground. Everyone has to fall sometime but no matter how long it takes you, you eventually get tired of dragging your feet through the mud, and you get up and find your wings have healed and they ache to fly again. So I'll fly, I'll fall, I'll get back up, and I'll live."
Written in 2010 by Kelsey M. --- Washington
I wrote this after a long depression that nearly took my life, but with the help of my friends, I got through it and this was the result. This is my new mindset and I hope this will help others through their hard times in life.

"You are wholly complete and your success in life will be in direct proportion to your ability to accept this truth about you."

"If not pure of body, be pure of mind. If not pure of mind, be strong of mind. If not strong of mind, have the courage of your convictions If you have not the courage of your convictions, then choose not to act or speak. If you cannot do any of these, at least be honest; and by doing so, be pure of mind."
Written in 2010 by Kevin Crawford --- Scotland

"I am not an expert to comment on life; I am a heart that can feel and express the emotions. I am not a good composer but only a wind that vibrates the musical notes. I am not a celebrity or a millionaire to be honored; I am just a child who wanted to live each and every moment of my LIFE."
Written in 2010 by H. Wasnik --- India

"When was the last time you asked a question like this: "Why did this happen to me?" or "I don't understand why." Please remember, it's not what happens to us but the meaning we associate with the circumstances that will determine whether we will be successful and happy or the opposite. In all circumstances, reach for the better thoughts regardless of how hard it my be at first. Look for the better meaning and the positive aspect in all things. Use your circumstances always as a way to grow as a person and evolve to your greatest potential."

"Truth and honesty set the earth free and they can wonder through time and space. Show love to someone today and you will see the miracle of love and its beautiful wonders."
Written in 2010 by Ayobami Noble Oluwasegun --- Nigeria
I believe this will touch the life of lovers.

Written in 2010 by Sne Phungula --- South Africa

"In order to succeed in life you must fail. In order to fail in life you must stop learning and quit growing. Both good and bad situations have a positive insight, only if you analyze it and are open. Be patient and be still heart. Love life, live true and drown in happiness."

I had my first drunk at the age of 13 and by 15 was in my first rehab and a mental institution right after that. I dropped out of school at this time because there was no point. As soon as I turned 18, it was jails. On March 29, 2009 suicide was my only solution to my problem. That was my last drink. I'm in a program that only works if you have a higher power, are positive, rigorously honest, are of service to others, and find good and growth out of what once was hell, hopelessness, and insanity. You have to grow as a person constantly. I've always been positive in all things except myself, because I felt that there was nothing positive about me. Now that I am sober, I have my self-respect back and I have learned to not only like myself but to love myself. I have something that I've never had before, hope for the future. Hope mountain; moving motivator. I'm going to college in the fall! The first in my family! Out of all bad there comes a good if you strive to find it. All of trials and tribulation have made me the person I am today. And for that and God I am thankful.

"Monitor your thoughts. Making a bad judgment does not necessarily make anyone a fool. Be quick to forgive yourself as well as others... release the past. Don't allow negative thoughts to take up space in your head where positive seeds could grow."
Written in 2010 by Larry Bennett --- Michigan

"The moment you feel neglected by people, think twice. There are a lot of other people who need you and you need too. The world is a vast environment of people wherein a simple "hi" and "hello" would make a difference. Get up and explore. Just continue and let the world feel your warmth and love."
Written in 2010 by Kenny Juntilla Bayudan --- Philippines

"The world is a great mirror. It reflects back to you what you are. If you are loving, if you are friendly, if you are helpful, the world will prove loving and friendly and helpful to you. The world is what you are."
