I wrote this when my boyfriend broke up with me. I was upset for a really long time and I came to realize that he is something I want but I can't have. So I figured in order to get over him, I would have to get over the desire to want him.

I wrote this quote when a lot of things were going on in my life and I believed it was all meant to be, but I couldn't figure out why some of it was.

I am only 14 years old so I can't give the best of advice but I love to try to help people and no one likes to be sad. We all need a friend and a shoulder to lean on. It is my mother who inspires me. She's not perfect but she makes me want to be a better person. My father also inspires me. He has helped me through so many hard times. He has listened to me when I didn't make sense and he never gave up hope or lost faith in me. So never give up because someone loves you and believes in you whether you know it or not!

On my eighth grade graduation, I was expecting to receive one award or another. I had this strange confidence inside me, until all the awards were given out to other people. I was in shock and couldn't believe what had just happened. I did no celebrating, just crying the whole night. I thought I was doomed for life. I just asked myself, "Do I want to succeed?" I kept repeating it and I've had a motivation to work my hardest since then. If I had actually received an award, I wouldn't have any of that powerful motivation today. Every cloud DOES have a silver lining.

I found myself dying inside over a guy who I loved but I still don't know if he loves me. I can't keep wasting my time on him, because each minute I spend on him I die inside. He wouldn't do that to me if he loved me so I need to just let go.

I loved him so much...but didn't realize it till he was gone
I tried so hard to keep him but he wanted to move on.
I never knew what love felt like until I met this guy
He made me laugh, he made me smile, and he even made me cry.
He told me many lies, but I stayed true to him till the end
I never got to see him much he was always out with friends.
He never seemed to care when he didn't see me for days
But I still treated him the same and cared in many ways.
I miss him a lot...But I know I need to move on
And part of me will always be sad that he is gone.
I wanted him back...I missed him...but he didn't want or miss me
So I kept my head up high...moved on...and let my heart be free.
We are friends, and talk to each other every once in a while
And every time we talk I can't help but show a smile.
I may have a broken heart, and I may have cried at times
But my heart is healing, and I'll never forget the memories shared by him and me.
