"You can revenge and be satisfied for one day or you can forgive and be at peace for a lifetime."

"Remember, that at the end of the road everything will be better, no matter how complicated things are at the moment; and if they're not better, then it's not the end of the road. Keep pushing!"
Author Unknown --- Submitted by Nanis R., Age 16 --- California
I selected this one because it's simply true - no matter how things are right now everything will get better.

"Take the chance... JUMP!"
Author Unknown --- Submitted by C.A., Age 16 --- New Mexico
I use this as a way to never hold back and to always live life to it's fullest.

"I don't want to wake up 5 years from now and be in the same position. I want to make progress, not be at a standstill! You must realize that it is easier to go down than it is to go up. You must push yourself because there is not always going to be someone there for you holding your hand, assisting you with everything!"

Kids of all ages need to realize that it is easier to be unsuccessful than it is to be successful. Especially, living in poverty, there will be times you believe the world around you is designed for you to fail, and that may be true, but force yourself to believe otherwise and be somebody.

"The greatest prize may often lie at the end of the thorniest path."
Stephen Sondheim --- Submitted by B.L., Age 16 --- Colorado

"There's a time in life when you should sit down' and think about what you want to do, NOT what others expect from you or what people tell you what to do - just for you. And put a goal on doing it, just don't think about it and expect it to happen. Go for it and love who you are, without listening to others. There is only one of you in this world, so you need to make your own rules instead of having the same as everyone else. Love yourself enough to try to get what you want."

"I am good, but not the angel. I sin, but I'm not the devil. I am pretty but not beautiful. I have friends, but I am not the peacemaker. I am just a small girl in a big world, trying to find something to love."
Shawnna Dobberthein ---Submitted by Shaylee, Age 14

"They conquer who believe they can."

"I guess happiness comes from above. Happiness is when you have a smile on your face, ease on your mind and love in your heart. When you pray an extra prayer, say a kind word and know everything is going to be ok."
Written in 2009 by Zeina A., Age 16 --- New York
I wrote it because I was going through a difficult time.

"No one becomes small by asking for forgiveness and the one who forgives owns a big heart."

"Those who set easy goals are simply scared of failure."

Push yourself better then your best. Thought of this one before a game of footy.

"The mistakes you have made, cannot be changed. Don't regret the things you have done but look at them as learning experiences for yourself and to help other people who have made the same mistakes."

"In life, you have two ways: one is the Right one and another is a Wrong one. The Wrong way is very easy and convenient but the Right way is one that is very difficult and inconvenient.

If you choose the Wrong way, you will get success and success in starting and you will find that way very easy. But the result of taking the Wrong way will always be the Negative and you will lose the battle of your life.

But if you choose the Right way, in starting, you will face many obstacles and you will find this way difficult. But if you continue with it, then the result will always be in the Positive. Here you will definitely win the battle of your life and you will always have a smile on your face."
Written in 2009 by Gaurav S., Age 17 --- India
There are some situations in life when we can't decide where to go and mostly we choose an easy way (that is the Wrong Method) in order to get rid of that problem. The Wrong way is not result oriented. At the end, we face many difficulties that result from the consequences of taking the wrong way.

"Enjoy the moment with all your might... whether it's gloomy, whether it's bright!"

It touches me... I think it is very true.

"You can't dwell on the past. Learn from your mistakes and move on. Have fun. That's life."
Author Unknown --- Submitted by Terra M., Age 16 --- California
A good friend told me this when I was regretting everything in my life. He made me realize that I can't change anything that has already been done. I needed to enjoy my life and do the best I can with what I have now.

"MOVE ON. It's just a chapter in THE PAST. But don't close the book. JUST TURN THE PAGE."

"How far is far? How high is high? You'll never know until you try."
Author Unknown --- Submitted by Hamasaki M., Age 16 --- Malaysia
I select this one because it teaches me to try in everything, even the one that we think impossible to be done. It also teaches me not to give up before doing something.

Written in 2009 by Dylan H., Age 16 --- Canada
This is best for at school, when you are with your friends. Don't just sit back and laugh, stand up for yourself and really let people know who you are.

"If you're not failing every now and again, it's a sign you're not doing anything very innovative."

"Never regret anything you have done. You did it; you must have had a reason. Just remember this before you do anything. You Can Never Go Back!"
Author Unknown --- Submitted by Nicole W., Age 16 --- Illinois
I believe that you shouldn't regret anything you have done because at one point it's something you wanted and made you happy... I only believe in mistakes... something you have done that made you happy but later you realize you shouldn't have. But overall, life is too short to think about things you shouldn't have done... so live for today and make the best of it.
