Take A Positive Approach
You know you're different, in a good way. You have a strong sense of optimism that guides your life. When the situation arrives, which many people view as negative, you look for the positive. It takes work.
Imagine you're a football fan, soccer fan, or athletic team fan. You cheer them on each time they play. When they are winning, it's easy to be a fan, but when your team starts to lose, where are you then? Do you abandon them and look for another team to call your own?
I lived that. I have been a Detroit Lions fan all of my life. Has it been easy? Heck no! Did I want to root for someone else? I sure did! But I knew in my heart that the Lions could be winners if we had a different front office and a fresh coach who held the players accountable and treated them with respect. Time will tell, but I haven't given up on them. They've made significant progress this year. Jared Goff, our quarterback, seemed to act like he wanted to be here this year. Maybe you've had a similar experience, too.
