Who Needs More Praise?

Does it seem to you that it is human nature to cheer for those who try and succeed? I've never been to a football game where the fans said to a player, "Good Try! Yes, you dropped the ball, but that's okay; maybe you'll get another chance." No, we cheer for the winners.

There is beauty in the attempt, the try, regardless of whether or not success follows. To see someone pursue a goal or a dream can take your breath away. The intensity of spirit, the laser focus on the prize of success, when someone tries and fails, can bring tears to your eyes.

So today, let's cheer for those who keep trying, who keep a vision in their mind of what they are struggling to complete. No matter how young or old they are, these are the people who move forward with new vigor if we can become their cheering section.

At any point in time, they may have a breakthrough, and because you were there to inspire them with hope and encouragement, you will become part of their story. Yes, the story they tell is about how they accomplished their objective with help from a friend.
