The Company Quietly Changes Us
I caught myself thinking about that caterpillar for a while.
Not because it wanted more, but because its dreams changed when it changed who it spent time around.
Maybe you've noticed that too.
There are people who make every possibility sound difficult. Before long, you stop bringing up your ideas because you already know how the conversation will end. The excitement fades before you've even taken the first step.
Then there are those rare people who ask a different question.

They don't promise success. They don't pretend life is easy. Somehow, though, you leave those conversations seeing a little farther than you did before.
I think that's what association really does. It doesn't just influence your attitude. It quietly stretches - or shrinks - what you believe is possible.
Jim Rohn once said, we're the average of the five people we spend the most time with. Whether that's exactly true isn't really the point. It's enough to make me wonder who is shaping the way I think.
Maybe the people around you aren't deciding your future.
But they might be helping define the size of the dreams you're willing to hold onto.
