What you choose to do. Powerful words because we make choices all the time. If you're not joyful, what needs to change?

It's easy to try and blame someone else or the situation, but who is responsible for your joy? You are, and that's excellent news.

At any time, you can choose to change your life or aspects that don't seem to work for you.

But Marlene, you don't understand. Yes, I do, since I've gone through the change process more times than I can count because most of the time, I was the one doing the choosing. Unplanned change, like an unexpected death or severe illness in your family, friends, or community, can sometimes knock you over. That was how I felt when I couldn't control the situation.

When I could control what was going on in my life, I made decisions, like you do, to make sure I was on track with my goals, wants, and needs.

I have found that if you are grateful and joyful for all that has come into your life, you have less stress and more energy. Everyone needs that, especially in today's times.
