Broken places change how we see ourselves.
Most people are fine receiving love when they're doing well. When they're strong, confident, productive, smiling through life.
But grace doesn't usually show up there first.
Grace shows up in the moments you least feel deserving of it.
After the mistake. During the struggle. In the middle of the regret, shame, exhaustion, or disappointment you don't want anyone else seeing.
That's what makes grace so hard for some people to accept. We still think love has to be earned somehow. That we need to fix ourselves first.
But grace doesn't wait for you to become perfect before it reaches for you. It meets you in the lowest places and says, "I'm still here."
And maybe that's why grace changes people so deeply. Not because it ignores the brokenness... but because it sees it fully and stays anyway.
