Why Do We Keep Saying The Same Things?

The quiet truth behind the words we keep repeating is usually the life we are still learning to live.

Sometimes the lessons we talk about most... are the very lessons we're still trying to learn ourselves.

Think about that for a second.

The person always reminding others to be patient may be fighting impatience every single day. The one encouraging people to be brave probably knows fear better than most. And the person talking about forgiveness? They may still be trying to heal from something that hurt deeply.

That's what makes this quote so real to me.

A lot of times, we don't teach from perfection. We teach from experience. From struggle. From falling down and trying to get back up again. And honestly? Those are usually the people worth listening to.

When someone shares hope, strength, kindness, or resilience with others, chances are... they need that reminder too. Saying it out loud helps them keep going as much as it helps the person hearing it.

I think that's part of being human.

We're all learning while we're living. None of us has everything figured out.

Truth is, even the people lifting others up have moments where they feel worn down too. They question things. They get frustrated. Sometimes they need somebody to remind them not to quit.

Maybe that's why certain words keep coming out of us when we talk to other people.

Maybe the advice, encouragement, or reminders we keep giving away... are the same things we quietly need ourselves.
