The Choices Behind Our Words
I noticed how often we use the word "I" without thinking about it.
I will do this.
I believe this.
I want this.
I choose this.
Then I wondered what happens when we notice the "I" behind our words and actions.
Not in a self-centered way. Almost opposite.
If I say I want to be a peacemaker, does that show up in how I speak to someone who disagrees with me?
If I say I want to be a healer, do my words leave someone feeling better?
If I say I want to bring life, am I adding good to the moment I'm in?
Maybe these questions are worth asking.
Most of us want to believe we make a difference.
But maybe it begins closer to home, with the next conversation, the next choice, the person standing in front of us.
Please remember, there doesn't have to be a hole in the world tomorrow.
