Do you find yourself smiling at strangers? What about your friends, family, business associates, and community? What message are you trying to convey?

Most of the time, we smile to let people know we are friendly and mean them no harm, yet sometimes, our words and actions are not in sync. Here's an example: Have you ever seen someone talk about something such as, "I'd be glad to help you" while shaking their head no? What are you to believe? Their actions or their words?

Try to make it your goal to make sure that what you say and do coincide. Let people see that you are genuine and want to further your communication with them. Be the one who smiles, reaches out, and invites a meaningful dialogue.
