The Space Before a Decision Sometimes the answer needs a little room.
When I woke up early this morning, I started thinking about a few decisions I may make today.
It made me wonder how often we decide before we've really given ourselves enough time to think.
I've done that before. I saw something one way, made a quick decision, and later realized there were possibilities I hadn't even considered.
And sometimes, the disappointment wasn't because the decision was terrible. I just hadn't stopped long enough to see the whole picture.
Maybe you've had moments like that too.
There's something interesting about giving a decision a little more time. Not so much time that you talk yourself out of everything, but enough time to gather what you need, consider what might happen, and understand the situation a little better.
I wonder how many decisions might feel different if we simply found that space between reacting and choosing.
Maybe that's worth noticing today.
