Small Acts Create Lasting Ripples
Do you ever wonder if who you are really makes a difference?
I know I have. More times than I can count, I've questioned whether the things I do actually matter.
Then I think about the little moments.
Helping someone when you didn't have to.
Taking time to listen.
Showing kindness without expecting anything back.
Maybe nobody notices. Maybe nobody ever says thank you. But does that mean it didn't matter?
I don't think so.
You know who you are when you do those things. You know the feeling you get when you help someone simply because that's the kind of person you want to be.
And the person receiving that kindness feels it too.
Maybe it changes their day.
Maybe it gives them a reason to smile.
Maybe they simply walk away feeling a little better than they did before.
I think that's the part we sometimes miss.
We spend so much time wondering if we're making an impact, when maybe the answer is already there in the small things we do.
The good you put into the world doesn't need an audience. It doesn't need recognition.
Sometimes, knowing you helped someone is enough.
So the next time you question whether you make a difference, remember the small things you've done that made someone's day a little better.
You may have forgotten them already.
They may not have.
