When Your Mind Won't Let Go

I've had stuff happen I still don't talk about much. Not because I'm hiding it - but because I've already spent enough time reliving it. I know what it's like to wake up with a pit in your stomach, stuck on the same scene over and over again.

But one day I had to ask myself: do I really want to carry this forever? Or do I want to carry myself forward? That's when everything started to shift.

Not overnight. But with practice. Thought by thought. It's like mental muscle - you train it. You mess up. You try again. And over time, you start to realize: you're not your past, and you sure don't have to let those old thoughts decide your future.

So I made a choice. I started focusing on what I could learn, what I could remember that felt light, not heavy.

It's not about pretending the bad never happened - it's about choosing not to let it define me.

You can do that too. It's not easy. But neither is staying stuck.

And you already do hard things every day. So this? It's just one more thing to practice.

You've given negative thoughts enough airtime. Time to take it back.
