We Will Love Many People In Our Lives

This year, I missed Father's Day. My focus was on another man I love.

My dad passed away a long time ago, and to this day, I miss him. He was a larger-than-life figure and taught me many lessons about love, people, and how to forgive and move forward. Despite the challenges of raising six children, he always made time to show us he cared and wanted us to become successful human beings.

Today's "Something Extra" is a story of a single mother who honors her dad for teaching her many useful skills she would need for the rest of her life. You can read the article and the poem she wrote to her dad here: Happy Belated Father's Day.

So even though today is not the official Father's Day, sharing your thoughts and memories still makes it a beautiful day to remember the dad you had or have.
