quote about lessons and failure

Lessons We Didn't Expect

Sometimes what we don't finish teaches us something.

In the morning, I sit for a while and go over my day. I learned a long time ago that if I write my goals down, I have a better chance of getting them done.

But sometimes distractions capture my attention, and I don't complete what's on the stack. Then I'm there the next morning with even more to do.

Has that ever happened to you?

Twyla Tharp understood something about learning through repetition. A dancer can practice the same move over and over, and still make a mistake. Maybe that's part of learning something new.

I've experienced that myself. When I first started designing websites, I struggled with the graphics program and failed miserably more than once. But those attempts taught me things I never expected.

I learned it was okay not to be perfect.

I learned to be a little more gentle with myself.

I learned sometimes you just have to laugh and keep moving.

Maybe that's where the lessons sometimes are.

Take care and have a great day!

Love and blessings,

Marlene
