Leave Room for Laughter
Sometimes a little silliness changes how we see things.
One thing you may not know about me is that I really love to laugh.
I like being silly. I like having fun with an idea just to see where it goes.
I have had some pretty good times with people, places, and situations simply because I didn't feel the need to take everything so seriously.
And yet, I can be serious. Probably more often than not.
Maybe that's why I notice what laughter does for me.
When life gets heavy, even a small moment of silliness seems to create a little space.
I can step back from whatever is happening and suddenly see something funny that I couldn't see a moment before.
Have you ever noticed that?
Maybe you were taking something very seriously, and then something unexpected made you laugh. Nothing actually changed. The situation was still there.
But somehow, you felt different about it.
I wonder if sometimes laughter doesn't remove the obstacle at all.
Maybe it just helps us see that the obstacle isn't the whole story.
