Admit and Accept Responsibility

Sometimes, your words or actions don't go right. Someone notices and calls you out on it. It happens to everyone. So what do you do? Hopefully, you accept responsibility and don't try to wiggle your way out of it.

When you accept responsibility, you have elevated yourself above others who don't. There is nothing wrong with saying you're sorry, but could it be better to say you're right? I was wrong; thank you for bringing it to my attention; it won't happen again?

Remember you are a leader; great leaders step up and admit they were wrong. People need to see that the leaders they rely on can be truthful and humble simultaneously.
