Maybe balance isn't something we find. Maybe it's something we keep creating.

Would you agree that we all deserve some balance in our lives?

Time to work. Time to rest. Time with the people we love. And maybe some time when we don't have to be responsible for anything.

I was thinking about that this morning while looking at today's quote.

I realized how much of our balance is up to us.

Life has a way of moving things around unexpectedly.

But what we do with our time still matters.

Our intentions matter. The words we use matter. And then there are the small decisions we make as the day unfolds.

Maybe balance isn't about getting everything perfectly even. That would probably be impossible.

Maybe it's more like the person on the wire... making small adjustments to stay upright.

Some days we lean too far toward work. Other days, maybe we slow down.

And then we adjust.

Nothing balances itself.

Somewhere in the middle of our choices, we are creating the life we're living.
