Not Everything Said To You Needs A Place Inside You
Have you ever replayed something someone said long after the conversation was over?
Maybe it bothered you right away. Maybe you thought, Why did they say that? Or maybe, by morning, you started wondering why those particular words were still hanging around.
That is an interesting place to pause.
Not because you should never react. We are human. Sometimes words hit a nerve before we have time to think.
But sometimes, if you sit with them for a minute, something changes. You start looking at the words instead of letting the words look through you.
And then you get to decide what, if anything, deserves a response.
Maybe that little space between hearing something and reacting to it is worth noticing.
