Are You Living Today?
Sometimes the past is worth remembering, but it isn't where we live.
I woke up early this morning with something on my mind.
I had been thinking about this quote for a while. I first read it years ago in a book, and this morning I found myself wondering...
Am I still holding on to parts of my past, or have I really moved forward into today?
Maybe you've wondered about that too.
The past can hold some beautiful memories.
There are people, places, moments and experiences that helped shape who we are.
Why wouldn't we want to visit them from time to time?
But there is something different about visiting the past and living there.
Over the last 18 months, I've felt myself making some pretty big changes. I feel more present now. More intentional.
And maybe that's what I've been noticing.
I can look back and appreciate where I've been... while still being here, today, noticing all the beauty that's around me.
