24 hours ago, our family pet Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, who has been with us for 12 years, was too ill to lift her little head. As a family, my husband John, and my two wonderful children, Nicholas and Pippa, we decided we should not let our darling pet "Bonnie" suffer. Her caring vet and I knew what we had to do. I held her in my arms and wept as the little seconds of life left her. I don't know when the tears will cease to run. I do not have a magic wand to take away the aching pain in the hearts of my family. I do know I have my friends. I do know I feel their love.
