Have you ever noticed how attached you can be to your unconscious reactions? Here's an example: You meet up with a friend and they ask you, "How are you doing?" and you react with, "What do you mean, how am I doing? I'm doing just fine, just like the last time I saw you."

WOW, something is obviously wrong here. Why did your friend say that? It was a reaction that was triggered by some, what you thought, innocent question you asked.
