I think sometimes we're so focused on what's hard or heavy that we miss the people standing right in front of us, just quietly being light.

Like, maybe it's the person who holds a door when your hands are full. Or the stranger who smiles when you're barely holding it together. Could be the nurse who sits a little longer than she has to, or the friend who texts just when your chest feels tight for no reason.

They don't announce themselves. They don't need to. They just show up.

What if we slowed down just enough to notice that there really are people ready to help, if we'd just let them in.

And maybe, when you look back later, you'll see that the angel already showed up... just didn't have wings.
