Want vs Should

Ever notice how the things you want energize you, while the things you should do feel heavier?

Today's thought got me thinking: do I really know the difference between what I want and what I tell myself I should do? They can look the same on the surface, but they don't feel the same inside.

Want has some energy to it. It makes me lean forward, to show up on purpose. I feel curious, even a little excited.

When I follow a real want, I tend to stay with it longer. I give it time. I adjust. I commit because I chose it.

Should is different. It sounds responsible, but sometimes it comes with pressure and a quiet 'I guess I have to.'

When I follow a should, I start calculating what I am giving up. That is usually when sacrifice shows up.

So I keep asking myself: is this coming from my heart or from pressure? Am I moving toward something meaningful, or just away from guilt?

Not every should is wrong. But when want is clear, commitment feels lighter. And that kind of clarity feels good, doesn't it?

Want or Should? It's up to you!
