Imagine someone or some organization trying to say they possess these qualities alone. No, I don't think so. Humanity can be gentle, generous and undertake self-sacrifice to live in peace. No one person or religion can claim it as their while excluding others. We are here together on earth and must learn how to get along most lovingly. So the question is, why don't we?

How hard is it to be nice to others? Not hard at all if that is your goal. You would prefer that others were nice to you, too; I know I do, but sometimes it doesn't happen. So what do you do? You move on. You find others who are like you and want harmony. You build on that and find more people who want to live in a more loving world.

This topic has been discussed previously; humankind has struggled for more years than you can imagine. Some people have made great strides, others not so much. I suggest this: don't give up hope that the turnaround could happen. Be an example of what a good person is like. Be kind and caring, courageous and bold. Be the one who is willing to help, and remember that you do it for them, but you also do it for you. Why? Because that's who you are; you don't need any other reason.

As you go through your day, consider how you will develop these three qualities further and their impact on your life. The world is always ready for more gentle spirits; we need them to remind us that we, too, can be better tomorrow than we are today.
