Quote Of The Day:

"The constant need for approval and acceptance is extremely unhealthy. We deny ourselves the ability to grow and develop confidence when we define our self-worth by the words and opinions of others."

Imagine you lived on an island with no one else around. No opinions, no conversations, no connections, just you. How would you establish your self-worth? Now, most of us don't live on an island isolated from the rest of the world. We encounter others daily. We connect and have discussions, share opinions, and either agree, disagree, or agree to disagree.
Other people's opinions of you are just that - their opinion. What they think isn't necessarily true. If you remember, we have talked about how we should never judge someone else because we really have no idea what they may be going through at any point in time.
If you don't know what's going on with someone else, how can they know about you? They don't, at least not the real you. They know what they see, what they hear at that moment.
Your opinion of yourself is what really matters. As the years go by and people come and go in your life, you learn that who you are is what you have molded yourself to be. You are a dynamic and growing individual. You are respectful of others and their opinions, and in the end, it's how you feel about yourself that truly matters.
Let's take a few minutes today to explore: What is Self-Worth and How Do We Increase It?
I wish you a great day and know you will take care!
Love and Blessings,
Marlene
