Do You Hold Grudges?
I was reading through a list of quotes this morning, and Brian Tracy's insight, about holding a grudge, jumped out to me. I have to agree; holding a grudge gets you nowhere. All it does is cause your emotions to fester inside you while the other person you are angry with isn't even thinking of you. Remaining angry or upset expends so much negative energy that the positive part of your life is screaming at the top of its lungs, "Stop it, let it go. They're not even concerned about you or how you feel."
Wouldn't you say it's time for a new approach to this problem? Don't you want some way to get you back on track to the positive person you know you are and want to be?
While researching different topics relating to grudges, I found the following article from the Mayo Clinic staff titled, "Forgiveness: Letting Go Of Grudges And Bitterness," and it made so much sense to me. I hope it makes sense to you, too. The article starts this way:
Who hasn't been hurt by the actions or words of another? Perhaps a parent constantly criticized you growing up, a colleague sabotaged a project or your partner had an affair. Or maybe you've had a traumatic experience, such as being physically or emotionally abused by someone close to you.
These wounds can leave you with lasting feelings of anger and bitterness â even vengeance.
But if you don't practice forgiveness, you might be the one who pays most dearly. By embracing forgiveness, you can also embrace peace, hope, gratitude and joy. Consider how forgiveness can lead you down the path of physical, emotional and spiritual well-being.

I have learned that forgiving someone makes you feel lighter and more at peace. So take care and ask yourself if you need to forgive anyone. If you do, it could be one of the best things you can ever do for yourself and all of your relationships.
Love and Blessings for a peaceful day, Marlene
