What if some dreams are trying to tell you something?

I was talking with a friend yesterday and somehow we got onto the subject of dreams.

I mentioned that I don't always remember what I dream about.

Do you ever wake up knowing you were somewhere, doing something, feeling something... and then, a few minutes later, it's gone?

Years ago, I kept a notebook beside my bed.

Every now and then, I'd wake up from a dream that felt so vivid, so important, that I'd write it down before falling back asleep.

I still wonder about those dreams.

What was it about them that made me feel like I needed to remember?

And what if some of the things we dream about are little previews of something we aren't conscious of yet?

Maybe not predictions.

Maybe just pieces of something inside us that haven't found their way into our thoughts.

I wonder if you've ever had a dream like that... one you couldn't quite explain, but didn't want to forget.
