I have found this idea, from Brian Tracy, to be true in my own life, and in the lives of people I admire.

Ever wonder what separates someone good from someone truly exceptional?

When someone rises to the top of what they do, it rarely happens by accident. It comes from showing up again and again. Doing the work when no one is watching. Staying committed when it would be easier to back off.

And the interesting thing? When you get close to that top tier, you usually know it. Not because someone hands you a trophy, but because you remember the effort it took to get there. The early mornings. The extra practice. The decision to keep going one more time.

So here's a simple thought to sit with.

If you are going to put time and energy into something anyway, why not give it your best? Why not aim higher than average?

Where are you right now in the things that matter to you?
Are you coasting... or growing?
What would the next level look like if you truly went for it?
