" Things don't come to you when you want them most, they come to you when you expect them the least. The "Bhagavat Geeta" teaches us to focus on our tasks, without desiring the fruits. Time and again I have seen this coming true in my personal life. Want that job desperately? Chances are that You will fail in the interview! Instead focus on the interview itself, without thinking about the outcome, you are most likely to succeed."
Author Unknown --- Submitted by S. Dasgupta --- India
The timeless wisdom of The "Bhagavat Geeta" remains relevant today, as it was in past and will be so in future. 5000 years back, Lord Krishna delivered the message of Geeta to the great Indian archer-Arjuna, who was about to lay down his arms and surrender before the great war of Mahabharat began. 5000 years after, the relevance of this sloka is not lost:- Karmany Evadhikaraaste Maa Phaleshu Kadachanam....You have the right to your duty, not the fruit. A job interview, meeting a new girl, a critical operation, reaching to a place on time through the traffic jam, facing an examination, submitting a paper to a famous journal for review, applying for a loan.... in our day to day activities results are all that matter and we all wish we succeed. However we don't succeed all the time. The Geeta teaches us to detach ourselves from the result and focus on the task. Put GOD everything before our personal endeavors, the success, as well as failures. Once we detach ourselves from the result, life becomes tension free!

" The best way of overcoming anger is to keep silent and pause for a moment and accept the emotions inside. Process yourself and you will discover things that are hidden for you. Then, at that time, you will know more about yourself. You will experience the true happiness within you because you know now how to conquer it."

" Don't ever have the feeling of hatred toward the people who ill-treated you. Take it in positive way, gather your inner strength and turn the tides in your favor. Rather, be kind to them for they are the ones who inspired you to strive for even better. For they are the ones who made you realize that best in you is yet to be. Always be thankful to such people, who once looked down upon you, for they helped you in being a better person."

You will live and love every single moment and feel blessed to have the kind of life you having now. Enjoy life, it's precious.

" It is better to be hurt by others than to be the one hurting them. It may seem forgivable to others but mistakes are bound to be remembered for eternity, even in the deepest part of Hades."
Beth Picache --- Submitted by Arnel Picache --- Philippines
My mother always reminds me of this. The quote speaks to me of genuine joy, love and harmony. Seeking peace and true happiness is not found by having one's self gain and the other to lose.
