Something To Encourage You:
Believe, You Can Do ItNever say, "I'm beaten,"
For better or for worse.
Never say, "I'm defeated,"
Or you'll never quench your thirst.
No one's ever perfect,
Losing is in style.
So accept your defeat acquiescently,
And take it with a smile.
Never give up, never look back,
Be always on your feet.
Just say, " I must, I can and I will,"
And success will be your treat.
In life there are many chances,
It's always on the run.
So keep on moving, hoping and trying,
Until one day, you know you've won.

Something I Was Feeling and Thinking:
You Are Doing It!
I know it's scary to think about losing a job, a
home, a way of life, and plans for your future. I hope it doesn't happen
to you but if it does, please take a deep breath and don't panic. The
reality is there are no easy answers to many of the problems created by
the financial upheaval.
You are being asked to use your imagination and creativity in new ways to
weather the storm and many of you are succeeding. You are being asked to
embrace challenges and turn them into possibilities of something new,
something better. You are finding different ways to live your life and
staying positive and optimistic about the future. You're not buying into
the doom and gloom that is constantly being shoved at you.
Now is your time. Do what has to be done, today. Don't wait.
Today you must look yourself in the mirror and tell yourself you are
brave, you are competent and you can have all that your heart desires and
deserves.
Start with the expectation that today is going to be a great day, that
something wonderful is going to happen. Do matter how large or small, be
thankful and grateful that you have another opportunity to prove
yourself.
Decide that you will do whatever it takes to keep your life focused on
what you want. If you don't have a plan, now is the time to make one. Be
aware of your thoughts, your words, your attitude, your actions and how
they affect your efforts.
Continue to develop your ability to look for the possibilities - develop
an attitude of "I can". Do something different today to help you in your
future.
Know that you have it in you to handle whatever life throws at you and
that each obstacle or opportunity has a gift hidden in it. Be kind, be
generous, be brave and hopeful. Live each day as if it were your
last.
You are doing it, right now, and each day you are getting stronger. Each
day you are feeling more confident and capable. Each day you are feeling
more hopeful and optimistic. You know that you will make it. You know you
will survive and thrive because you've learned to embrace the challenge
and turned it into an opportunity for growth.
You are choosing to be a victor and not a victim any more.
Look at you; you're doing it!

A Story To Ponder:
Your Biggest Weakness Can Become Your Biggest StrengthThis is a
story of one 10-year-old boy who decided to study judo despite the fact
that he had lost his left arm in a devastating car accident.
The boy began lessons with an old Japanese judo master. The boy was doing
well so he couldn't understand why, after three months of training, the
master had taught him only one move.
"Sensei," the boy finally said, "Shouldn't I be learning more moves?"
"This is the only move you know, but this is the only move you'll ever
need to know," the Sensei replied.
Not quite understanding, but believing in his teacher, the boy kept
training.
Several months later, the Sensei took the boy to his first tournament.
Surprising himself, the boy easily won his first two matches. The third
match proved to be more difficult, but after some time, his opponent
became impatient and charged; the boy deftly used his one move to win the
match.
Still amazed by his success, the boy was now in the finals.
This time, his opponent was bigger, stronger, and more experienced. For a
while, the boy appeared to be overmatched. Concerned that the boy might
get hurt, the referee called a time-out. He was about to stop the match
when the Sensei intervened.
"No," the Sensei insisted, "Let him continue."
Soon after the match resumed, his opponent made a critical mistake: He
dropped his guard. Instantly, the boy used his move to pin him. The boy
had won the match and the tournament. He was the champion.
On the way home, the boy and Sensei reviewed every move in each and every
match. Then the boy summoned the courage to ask what was really on his
mind.
"Sensei, how did I win the tournament with only one move?"
"You won for two reasons," the Sensei answered. "First, you've almost
mastered one of the most difficult throws in all of judo. And second, the
only known defense for that move is for your opponent to grab your left
arm."
The boy's biggest weakness had become his biggest strength.
Moral of the story: We sometimes allow our weaknesses to be our
downfall rather than using them to our advantage. We tell ourselves we
cannot do something because we do not feel it is our strength. But, if we
didn't dwell on our weaknesses, we may find that we could
succeed.

Something I'd Like To Share:
How Do You Know When To Quit?Have you ever decided that it was
time to quit, to give up because things weren't going the way you
expected? Have you ever thought that you weren't good enough or talented
enough to make your dream come true?
I know I have and perhaps you have too.
A few weeks ago, I was pondering the subject because I received an email
from a young man who feels like all of his efforts are in vain. While
updating my Facebook page, I ran across a link to an article on the
subject and was blown away:
If you think it's time to quit, this article is a must read first,
for a little clarity. Why? Because you never know when your dream might
just be testing your commitment.
Hope you enjoy - it was a gift to me, now I want to give it to you. Happy
dreaming!

Three Quotes To Motivate You:"Don't wish me happiness, I
don't expect to be happy all the time. It's gotten beyond that somehow.
Wish me Courage and Strength and a Sense of Humor. I will need them
all."

"When we look at statue of someone great, we think they've got
something we don't. We are trained to think that only a tiny percentage
of us have the stuff it takes to be a hero. Not many of us will cure any
diseases or slay any dragons, but every single one of us, EVERY SINGLE
ONE OF US, is called to be a king, a queen, a hero in our ordinary lives.
We don't build statues to worship the exceptional life, we build them to
remind ourselves what is possible in our own."

"When I sleep, I dream that I am the best, just like other people
do. The difference is when I awake, I live my dream. Never quit dreaming
because one day it will come into being."

Until Next Time, Remember:
Dare To BeWhen a new day begins, dare to smile gratefully.
When there is darkness, dare to be the first to shine a light.
When there is injustice, dare to be the first to condemn it.
When something seems difficult, dare to do it anyway.
When life seems to beat you down, dare to fight back.
When there seems to be no hope, dare to find some.
When you're feeling tired, dare to keep going.
When times are tough, dare to be tougher.
When love hurts you, dare to love again.
When someone is hurting, dare to help them heal.
When another is lost, dare to help them find the way.
When a friend falls, dare to be the first to extend a hand.
When you cross paths with another, dare to make them smile.
When you feel great, dare to help someone else feel great too.
When the day has ended, dare to feel as you've done your best.
Dare to be the best you can
At all times, Dare to Be!
