Today let’s be thankful for those who dedicate their lives to a higher power, to God, and work to comfort and console their congregations in time of need. This global virus has many people frightened and upset – the world has been turned upside down and many aren’t coping well.

For Christians around the world, today is Good Friday and Sunday is Easter. Passover started on Wednesday and is being celebrated in Jewish communities. Whether you have a religion or not, doesn’t really matter to me. If I forgot to remember yours, I apologize. My goal is to let you know that you matter, you’re important and that I love you and wish you well, each and every day.

I am here to keep you inspired, to motivate and encourage you. Sometimes I succeed and sometimes not. You see I believe in the goodness of people, I believe that you can work through situations and come out a better, not a bitter person. Reach out to me, I’ll try my best to help.

These are tough times, but you are tougher, and you will get through this by staying connected with others in different ways.

Here are a few “suggestions” written to a friend.

Can’t be with people? There are other forms of engagement, open to us all. An email to a distant friend, a phone call to a parent or sibling, a kind word to a neighbor, a prayer for those working on the front lines. These simple gestures can bind the world together ‹ throwing threads of love here and there, ultimately connecting us all ‹ so that when we do emerge from this moment we are unified by compassion, humility and a greater dignity. Perhaps, we will also see the world through different eyes, with an awakened reverence for the wondrous thing that it is. This could, indeed, be the truest creative work of all.
