I was depressed at this time because I felt as if I was always the one who ended up at a loss because I thought that I was always the one making sacrifices. However, I realized that I was just being selfish and that keeping my friend was worth all the trouble.

I came up with this because one of my friends likes to use everyone else to get the things that she could do for herself with no problem. But she has to have everyone else do her homework and things like that. So I thought that since it seemed like she was always walking in someone else's shoes, it was kind of like she was making us carry her and she wasn't doing things for herself. So what I'm trying to say is do things for yourself and ask for help --- not have someone else do it for you. Be you, not them!!

It's human nature for many people to make others' happiness more important than their own. But think about it, isn't your happiness worth any? We really have two options in life, a) we deny ourselves, just so others have the self-satisfaction of thinking different of you, which leaves you depressed, confused and Not even a individual, or b) take that risk, and be who you are, embrace your individuality, know who you are, be true to yourself, and know who your true friends are? Isn't that worth any? Everyone has different morals and values between one another, we wonder, why don't they understand me? It's because you don't understand them! It's much like pulling a rope on two ends, the more you suppress, the more they'll repress. To have any understanding with someone is to have a balanced and mutual mind, both positive and negative, it is then where both minds connect and learn to love.

As a full-fledged teenager, unsure of what completely to do with his life, there are many choices I must make. Unlikely as it may seem, every choice that we act upon has consequences. This is something I came up with based on what I Iearned from someone extremely close to me, who passed away.
