"Change is important whether good or bad. Everything happens for a reason. Embrace change rather than complain about the inevitable. You know it's coming anyways."
Written in 2011 by Pete C. Zafra
Just made it out of the blue while I was contemplating on how the current changes affect my life. Thought I should share this so we could accept and be prepared for change anytime of the day. My lifechanged when I started to look at change from a different perspective so embrace it rather than always complaining about the inevitable! Everything happens for a reason and it's usually a good one!

"The key to life is confidence. A pretty girl can be ugly if she has no self-confidence and an ugly girl can be pretty because she has self-confidence. So don't let your insecurities override who you are.Whatever your insecurities are, I promise you, no one cares. People will love you for who you are, not who you try to be and when you try to be who you are not, it stands out."

"Start working to fulfill your dreams otherwise someone will put you to work fulfilling theirs."
Author Unknown --- Submitted by Prats J., Age 15 --- India
I realized that being lazy and not doing any work isn't possible... You have to work hard in your life. It's better to work hard for yourself than someone else.

"Don't let other people tell you what your talents are, or that you don't have any talents. Only you know your talents and it's up to you to show the world what you can do."
Written in 2011 by Audrey B., Age 13 --- Rhode Island

"If it's hard, break it; if it can't break, melt it."
Written in 2011 by Xenia A., Age 15 --- Ghana
I wrote it to imply that no problem can't be solved.

"When someone tells you who they are... LISTEN!"
Author Unknown --- Submitted by Vanessa B., Age 15 --- Louisiana
No one can directly state who they are. They can however describe their life or the things that they like and dislike. They can also express who they are by using actions. I had an ex boyfriend thatlied to me so much, I couldn't believe a word that came out of his mouth. He ended up stealing from my family. But I didn't listen to any of that. When someone tells you who they are... LISTEN!

"The wearer knows best where the shoe pinches."

"You don't see what's special about a moment until you look back on it in the future, when you know that you can't have it anymore."
Author Unknown --- Submitted by Skylar S., Age 15 --- Iowa
Just now looking back on a relationship, I understand how great it was and now it's gone. This made me think about how I should have done things and know now that we all need to remember and take ingood moments because you might not be able to get these moments back.

Dear Life:
I'm not sure what you're going to throw at me.
I'm sure it's not always what I want it to be.
I'm sure it will come unexpectedly,
But I'm not the type to intercede.

Give me your worst,
I'll be fine because I been through so much.
I've learned only time
Can heal a broken heart and a wounded mind.

So c'mon life, what are you waiting for?
I'm ready for whatever you got in store;
All the hurt and all the pain,
I know I'm going to feel it someday.

So Dear life,
Throw whatever is in sight.
I promise you,
I'll be all right.

Although life may get hard, you still have to keep a smile on your face and learn that its going to be all right. I made this poem after my mother died and I realized that I am going to go through somehard times but I have to learn to deal with it.

"Life is not the way you think it is but the way you make it to be through the law of attraction (thoughts of the mind)."

Simply the fact that some people suffer not because they were destined to do so but because they made it to be as such. For if you think negatively it will affect you negatively, likewise positively.

"Sometimes it's the things you don't say that hurt the most."
Author Unknown --- Submitted by L.M., Age 15 --- Iowa
We don't realize that sometimes our silence makes a bigger impact than anything else.

"No one cares about your story until you're finished."
Written in 2011 by Alex M., Age 15 --- Virginia
I came up with this when talking to my girlfriend on the phone. It means no matter what kind of problems you have, no one cares about them till you do something with your life. Don't make excuses for yourself, because others don't know those excuses, so they judge you. Do your very best under whatever circumstances. Once you do good things, then tell your story.

Anthony J. D' Angelo --- Submitted by Savannah D., Age 15 --- Tenn.
Don't live your life according to society. Make your life your own work of art.

"To me the most important things in life are as little as can be, so cherish these moments and hold on tight. They leave everything, including a memory."
Written in 2010 by Jodie D., Age 15 --- Texas
I wrote this one day when I realized that life isn't all about the glitz and glamour and what people expect you to do. Life is about every moment you spend with your friends and family and have fun.Because when you leave high school, none of the drama or what clothes you wore or who you were is going to matter. It's going to be about your memories, family, new friends, career, and so many betterthings other than the immature stuff you deal with today.

"Many compare problems to hurdles or mountains but I believe differently. Difficult situations are like learning to tie your shoes, or ride a bike, or begin to spell. At first it seems impossible but you'll see how insignificant it is."
Written in 2011 by Kenzie D., Age 13 --- New York

"According to Buddha, desires are the cause of human grief and sorrow. But without desires, human life is ambitionless, aimless. It's only your desires you live for and they are the cause of Selfishness. Extremes are dangerous, in case of desires, they result in grief but the middle path is the right path. Live life, live your desires."
Written in 2010 by Maurvie T., Age 13 --- India
This is about our whole human life: the secrets of human life, human sorrow and human happiness. I am a poet and I am proud of myself.

I wrote this quote a few weeks ago because it felt like my life was falling apart and I was losing all of my friends. This still stands true and always will.

"The key to life isn't planning the future, mourning the past or stressing about the moment. It's about losing all sense of time entirely."
Written in 2010 by Jessie B., Age 15 --- Kansas
Time seems to creep up on us and attack us, but recently I've learned to live each day, and that's what this quote is saying :)

"Be good, do the right thing always, wear your seat belt, don't drink and drive or get in the car with anyone who is. Live by this and you should make it through the day to see a better tomorrow."
Mrs. Jones --- Submitted by Jennifer F., Age 15 --- Alabama
The 10-12 grade science teacher tells us this everyday at the end of class so at the end of the year, it's so stuck in your head that every time you start to do anything you think of it.
