My Personal Experience with Pain
You don't know joy
Till you're introduced to pain
And we've become very good friends
Pain & I have
Gone our separate ways
But we always make amends
I wasn't able to recognize happiness
Till after pain was met
Now I know the difference between the two
Better yet -
I've come to know the pleasure there is to gain
Through my personal experience with pain
I consider it something of a precursor, an envoy
And making its acquaintance enables me
To really know joy
